Supriyo raised concerns about the exorbitant cost of the cocktail vaccine (Rs 61,000), which is required for severely unwell Covid-19 patients.

He asserted that his 84-year-old father needed the vaccine, so he had to purchase it right now.

Further, the TMC leader questions the government about how the weaker section of the society would pay for the cocktail vaccine.

Meanwhile, BJP Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari also tested positive for covid-19 for the second time on Tuesday, January 4.

On Sunday, he tweeted that he was feeling unwell, after which he gave his samples for testing.

Tiwari tweeted in Hindi, ‘Could not attend the Uttarakhand-Rudrapur campaigning yesterday as I was not feeling well from January 2 night. I have tested positive for Covid-19. Taking precautions, I had isolated myself yesterday only. Please take care of yourselves and your family.”

On Tuesday, the other politicians who tested positive for covid-19 were Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey.
