Digital Desk: A traffic advisory has been issued by the Guwahati Traffic Police for the people of the city for Saturday. The advisory was issued for the smooth functioning of vehicle movements for a pre-Republic Day March. The restrictions were announced through a notice, released on January 4, for the Latasil and Panbazar area. The pre-Republic Day march will start at 3.15 PM on January 25 and commence from Latasil Field to MG Road, Pan Bazar, and adjoining areas.


According to the advisory, vehicles that come from the Bharalumukh side on MG Road will be averted at Chief Justice Residence Point towards Planetarium Point until the parade crosses Tayabullah Point. Vehicles coming from AT Road towards Panbazar on GNB Road are directed to move towards Sani Mandir Point via ARB Road.


Guwahati Traffic Police officials have assured that the restriction will be lifted instantly after the commencement of the parade. They also assured strict monitoring during the march so that nobody faces any unpleasant situation. They promised smooth functioning of the traffic restriction during the march.


The police urged everyone to work together and support them during the pre-Republic Day March to avoid any inconvenience. They also requested the commuters to follow the diversion advisory.
