Digital Desk: A horrifying road accident took place on the highway in Khetri amid rainfall, leading to the loss of two lives and the injury of a minor girl.
The spine-chilling incident that shook the area was so devastating that the vehicle involved in the incident was completely crushed.
As per report, the speeding S-Cross vehicle lost control and violently collided with a roadside tree, resulting in the tragic incident.
A couple died on the spot following the incident, while their 8-year-old daughter was severely injured.
Khetri Traffic Police arrived at the scene and rushed the young girl to the hospital in critical condition.
Gajendra Mohan Dev Sharma, a retired vice-principal of Raha College, and his wife Archana Sharma died on the spot.
Dev Sharma was driving the vehicle, while his wife, Archana Sharma, was seated in the front passenger seat.
The vehicle, bearing registration number AS 01 ET 2351, was reportedly traveling from Guwahati towards Jagiroad.
The bodies of the couple were trapped inside the wreckage, which made it difficult for the police to retrieve the bodies from the site.
Later, the police transported the vehicle to Khetri Police Station with the help of a JCB. Currently, the operation to recover the bodies is underway at the station.
