Digital Desk: The Northern Railways has announced the imminent commencement of train services between Ramban and Reasi districts in Jammu and Kashmir, passing through the world's highest railway bridge over the Chenab River.
 
This milestone comes as part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project, set to be fully operational by year-end.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the USBRL project earlier this year, which includes the crucial 48.1 km Banihal-Sangaldan section.
 
The project's first phase began with the 118 km Qazigund-Baramulla section in October 2009, followed by the openings of the 18 km Banihal-Qazigund section in June 2013 and the 25 km Udhampur-Katra section in July 2014. 

These developments mark significant progress in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in the region, facilitating easier access and travel opportunities for residents and visitors alike.
