Reportedly, a total of 53 parents attended the programme and around 30 children with multiple disabilities were given medical and rehabilitation intervention.

Guwahati: National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities today (March 20) organized a block-level training programme on ‘therapeutic intervention for children with multiple disabilities’ at Holistic Physiotherapy and Wellness Centre in Six Mile, Guwahati. The programme conducted in collaboration with Holistic Healthcare Training and Educational Foundation was headed by Dr Prakritish Bora, HOD of Pediatrics and Neonatology, Apollo Excelcare Hospital. Moreover, Dr Nilim Kumar Deka, chief Orthopaedic Surgeon & Managing Director at Dispur Polyclinic and Hospitals Pvt Ltd and Paramvir Kumar, OIC, CRCSRE, Guwahati was ‘Guest of Honour’ in the programme. Reportedly, a total of 53 parents attended the programme and around 30 children with multiple disabilities were given medical and rehabilitation intervention. On the other hand, Kundan Kumar (PT), CRCSRE and Anushmita Chamuah, a trustee in HHTEF, Guwahati, was coordinator of the programme under the guidance of Stalin Arul Regan, NIEPMD, Chennai. The medical and Rehabilitation team included Debarshi Das (BASCP), Pranjal Khanikar (BASCP), Gautam Das (PT), Mrinmoy Sarkar (PT) and Jeuti Sarma (PT).
