Concerning a severe security alarm, two blasts shook the high-security technical area of Air Force Station, Jammu, on the intermediary Sunday night. 

According to the official statement from the Defence PRO, there were no casualties to any officials or any loss to equipment.   

The blasts took place over five minutes during the early hours of Sunday. The initial explosion ripped off the roof of the building at 01:37 am. The second explosion hit the ground at 01:42 am.

"Two low-intensity explosions were reported early Sunday morning in the technical area of Jammu Air Force Station. One caused minor damage to the roof of a building while the other exploded in an open area. There was no damage to any equipment. An investigation is in progress along with civil agencies," the official Twitter handle of the Indian Air Force tweeted.

However, the entire area was surrounded by security forces within minutes after the blasts. Police officers and forensic units are at the site to determine the status of the explosions.

Following a search, an operation has been launched outside the Air Force station. Inquiries are on, and the matter is being reviewed from all aspects.
