Digital Desk: As many as two persons were injured in a massive fire that broke out at a warehouse at Cherekapar under Sivasagar district of Assam on Monday night.

As per reports, two workers suffered minor injuries when they made their escape after the fire started due to a short circuit. 

The incident was reported at the warehouse of 'Mahabir Polimar's', sources further stated. 

Fire tenders arrived at the scene as the conflagration began and managed to put it out before it spread to other businesses in the area.

Reportedly, the fire destroyed goods worth lakhs of rupees.
