Guwahati: In a major development in the ONGC employee kidnapping case, two of the three abducted ONGC employees have been rescued by security personnel while the third one still remains untraceable.

The three ONGC employees were abducted on Tuesday ULFA-I from Lakwa Oil Rig, in Sivasagar district. As per reports, a joint operation was carried out by the Indian Army and Assam Rifle troops following which the two ONGC employees were rescued.

The rescued employees have been identified as Alakesh Saikia and Mohini Mohan Gogoi
