Digital Desk: Two cadres of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA-I) surrendered in Mon district of Nagaland on September 13.


The surrendered cadres have been identified as Anupam Asom from Sadiya, Tinsukia district, and Chinmoy Asom of Panitola Nagaom, Tinsukia district.


They surrendered at the Tobu Police Station in Nagaland without carrying any arms and ammunition.


Both cadres were transported to Mon Police Station for further investigation. As per reports, they were later handed over to a team of Assam Police, led by IGP Jitmal Doley, to take custody.


These cadres are expected to provide valuable information on ULFA's future strategies.
