The incident of an unidentified person's body being found near the toll gate on the National Highway 27 in the Bongaigaon district has created a severe stir in the area.
According to reports, the police from the Gerukabari surveillance post arrived at the scene and recovered the body, which has been sent to the Bongaigaon Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
The police have begun an investigation. It has been informed by police sources that the body will be preserved in the morgue for 72 hours for identification.
As of now, no further information has come to light regarding this incident, but the police are continuing to investigate in all directions.
