Digital Desk: As said by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has outlined a vision in which India will play a prominent role in the global electronics supply chain and manufacture USD 300 billion in electronic goods by 2026.
"The Prime Minister has stated unequivocally that India will be a prominent player in the global electronics supply chain. He set a target of 300 billion dollars in electronics manufacturing for India by 2026 "On Saturday, Chandrasekhar stated.
"Mobile phones will be among the top ten export categories from India beginning next year. There is an underlying vision and policy framework driving this transformation in global brands' preference for India as a global manufacturing destination "He further stated.
He further stated that Prime Minister Modi has an aim for expanding the electronic ecosystem. "An entire semi-conductor ecosystem, comprising design, packaging, fabrication, and manufacturing, would be built in India very soon," added the Minister.
