United Kisan Morcha decided to meet today to discuss future strategies and demands. 

New Delhi: Following the announcement of repeal of farm laws by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the United Kisan Morcha decided to hold a meeting today to decide the future strategy. 

The meeting will start at 11 am at the Singhu border. 

Earlier on Saturday, a meeting of the 9-member committee of prominent leaders of United Kisan Morcha and 32 farmers' organizations of Punjab was held.

The central demands of the farmers will be viewed in the plan. There will further be a talk on compensation to the families of approximately 688 martyr farmers.

On Saturday, farmer leader Darshan Pal Singh stated that the predetermined meetings on November 26 and 29 would resume. He stated that the Lucknow rally on November 22 has to be successful. If there is an effort to attack our associates in Lakhimpur Kheri, we will start an agitation in the Lakhimpur Kheri region.

Singh further said that it is good that the central government has decided to repeal the laws. However, there are various issues need discussion ahead.

He added that so far, the government has not listened to anything on MSP. We demand that the government should bring a law on MSP.

Farmer leader Singh also stated that this movement will continue.
