Digital Desk: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait, has appealed to the people to vote for Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in the upcoming assembly election. In a mocking tone, he appealed to make CM Yogi win, stating reasons why he should win the UP election.

Rakesh Tikait said, "The opposition must maintain its strength after the elections, for which yogi must win. Other BJP bigwigs, including Yogi, should also win. Only if these figures win, the opposition will be able to maintain its strength after the elections."

"I will not say anything openly, but our farmers understand nicely what I am trying to say through my gestures," he added.

Further, indirectly appealing to vote against the BJP party, Rakesh Tikait stated that he will not make any political statement directly but will communicate with the farmers through gestures.

According to him, after 13 months of protests along the various borders of the country, the farmers themselves have become wiser and can take decisions about their future.

"Now the farmers of the country cannot be tricked in the name of caste and religion." he said.

Reportedly, the Kisan Union will stage a nationwide demonstration on January 31. A memorandum will be sent to the President after performing the demonstration in every district.

Further, Rakesh Tikait cleared it out that he will not contest in the elections and will not support any political party in the future.
