Santosh, alias Prince, has been charged with murdering his father, SP (city) Krishna Kumar Bishnoi stated.
Digital Desk: In a horrifying incident, a man allegedly killed his 62-year-old father over a property dispute in Gorakhpur of Uttar Pradesh.
The 30-year-old defendant, Santosh Kumar Gupta, is accused of dismembering Murli Dhar Gupta's body to fit into a bag and dispose of it.
The incident took place in Suraj Kund colony, which is within the jurisdiction of Tiwaripur police circle, and a case was filed in the matter on Sunday after Prashant Gupta, the accused's brother, went to the police with a complaint.
The accused has been taken into custody.

"During the Covid pandemic, the victim's wife passed away. On the first floor of his home, Murli used to reside while operating a general store on the ground floor. While the victim was alone at home, the accused attacked him. In his application, the other son, Prashant Gupta, said that when he returned home that evening after taking part in a wedding, he discovered blood stains in the house."
The accused's confession to his crime was also confirmed by the SP.
