Digital Desk: The principal of a government school in town was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl student after administering an intoxicated substance to her. The principal had taken nine students from the school on a visit to Vrindavan on November 23 and reserved two rooms in a hotel for the girl students. The principal allegedly stayed in one room with the 17-year-old girl, a Class 11 student, while eight pupils stayed in the other.

The principal is accused of putting an intoxicated substance in the student's lunch and then raping her. When the girl objected, he threatened to flunk her exams and kill her, according to Bachu Singh, Station House Officer of Hastinapur police station.
On November 24, the students returned home. The girl initially kept silent about the incident, but subsequently told her family members the full sequence of events, he claimed.

On Saturday, a case was filed against the principal based on a complaint filed by the girl's father, according to the SHO, who added that the situation is being investigated. He stated that efforts are being made to apprehend the principal, who is on the run.
