The ISI agent confessed to enticing Indian government officials with financial incentives...

Digital Desk: In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) recently apprehended Satyendra Siwal, an alleged Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) operative stationed at the Indian Embassy in Moscow.

Siwal, employed as Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) at the Ministry of External Affairs since 2021, was exposed following a tip-off about espionage activities.

Upon investigation, Siwal initially provided evasive responses but eventually admitted to spying during questioning in Meerut.

The ISI agent confessed to enticing Indian government officials with financial incentives to gather intelligence on the Indian Army's operations and day-to-day activities. Siwal stands accused of transmitting vital and classified information about the Indian Embassy, Ministry of Defence, and External Affairs to ISI handlers.

The Ministry of External Affairs is reportedly collaborating with investigative authorities, acknowledging Siwal's arrest. This incident underscores the continuous need for vigilance and security measures to safeguard sensitive national information.
