Desk: An eight-month-pregnant mother died –year old son after being accidentally shot by her two-year-old son.
According to officials, the event occurred on June 16 in Ohio.
According to CNN, the youngster shot the woman after obtaining a
gun from a drawer.
After being shot, the woman dialed the emergency number, 911, and
requested assistance.
After learning about the incident, the woman's husband called 911
as well. Officers discovered her in the same room as her son, along with the
pistol used in the event.
She was rushed to the
hospital for emergency surgery to preserve her pregnant child. However, both
the infant and the lady died shortly after being taken in for treatment.
During a search, police said they
discovered suitable safety equipment, including baby gates, inside the woman's
home.
However, while his mother was busy with
domestic tasks, the child went into his parents' bedroom and began playing with
the rifle.
In a similar event in the United
States, in January of this year, a 6-year-old first-grade student allegedly
carried his mother's licensed gun to school in his backpack and shot his
Virginia schoolteacher during class.
