Digital Desk: Abortion rates in America have significantly increased in recent years. Religion has also played a role in the debate over whether women should have access to abortions. Additionally, Republicans (Conservatives) and Democrats have disagreed over it (Liberals). In 1973, a case known as Roe v. Wade brought this controversy to the Supreme Court.

It had been more than a month since Justice Samuel Alito's surprising revelation of a draught opinion, which demonstrated the court was prepared to reach this momentous decision.

The Supreme Court found that neither the Constitution nor any of its provisions explicitly safeguard the right to an abortion. Individual US states would once again be allowed to ban abortion if the 1973 ruling is overturned. At least 26 states are expected to take immediate or expedient action in this regard.

America has recently seen a sharp rise in the number of abortions carried out. Religious reasons have also had an impact on the debate over whether women should have access to abortions. Democrats and Republicans (Conservatives) have disagreed over it as well (Liberals). In 1973, the Roe v. Wade case, which concerned this controversy, reached the Supreme Court.
