Guwahati: Amid the second wave of Coronavirus that has hit the nation like a storm, the state government of Assam while looking into the spiraling covid cases in the state, took a decision to grant the status of ‘ambulance’ to all Oxygen, Nitrogen and Argon carrying vehicles, health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

Confirming the same the Minister confirmed on Twitter, “Assam Govt has granted all oxygen vehicles – tankers carrying Nitrogen, Argon and Oxygen – the status of ambulance to enable their hassle-free movement in state & transit through Assam for speedy delivery of oxygen to critical centres.”

States across the country have been grappling with severe oxygen crunch as number of covid cases rise.
