Ankush reported that although his father was improving from the medication, he passed away at around 4.30 am.

Digital Desk: Veteran actor Arun Bali passed away today morning at his home in a suburb of Mumbai. He was best known for his roles in the successful movies, 3 Idiots and the TV series Swabhimaan. He was 79.

Ankush, Bali's son, revealed that his father was hospitalized earlier this year for Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune condition marked by a breakdown in nerve-muscle communication. Ankush reported that although his father was improving from the medication, he passed away at around 4.30 am.

"Dad abandoned us. His condition, myasthenia gravis, was present. He was indecisive for two to three days. After telling the caretaker he needed to use the restroom, he said he would want to sit down and never got up "he told PTI.

As the famous actor Shah Rukh Khan's uncle in the TV series Doosra Keval, Bali made his acting debut. He later appeared in other programmes such as the historical drama Chanakya, Swabhimaan, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand, Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, and P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke.

Saugandh, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Khalnayak, Satya, Hey Ram, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, Ready, Barfi, Manmarziyaan, Kedarnath, Samrat Prithviraj, and Laal Singh Chaddha are a few of his well-known films.
