Guwahati: Veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and his foundation take a humanitarian approach in providing 100 ICU beds to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh for donating sufficient treatment to children suffering from COVID-19.

The Yuvraj Singh Foundation has notified the AMCH authority by a letter about providing funds for the 100-bedded ICU in AMCH. 

Acknowledging Cricketer Singh AMCH Superintendent Dr. Sanjeev Kakoty stated," Two months ago we have received a message that the Yuvaraj Singh Foundation would donate 1000 ICU beds to various medical colleges and hospitals. Among these, we are going to receive 100 beds."

“Basically, Yuvraj Singh Foundation deals with children's cancer but after the Covid19 pandemic, they have taken an initiative to donate for 100-bedded child ICUs all over India.”

“They will provide funds for 50 beds in the first installment and after that funds for another 50 beds will be given,” he stated.

"Out of the 100 beds in the pediatric ICU, 20 beds will have full-fledged ventilators and 80 Oxygen-generated beds will be set up at the children's wards of AMCH," Dr. Kakati acquainted.

The Yuvraj Singh Foundation is a non-profit organization, founded by leading Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. AMCH was founded in 1947 to implement more reliable medical means for the people.
