According to reports, he will participate in an hour-long discussion with Dhanamanjuri University's Imphal faculty and students.

Digital Desk: On May 3 (Wednesday), India's Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will visit Manipur. The Vice President, who will visit the state for a day, will attend activities at two of its institutions, according to reports.

According to reports, he will participate in an hour-long discussion with Dhanamanjuri University's Imphal faculty and students. Then, according to official sources, he will head to Manipur University where he will speak with professors and researchers from various institutions.

"The vice president is also expected to meet national awardees of handloom and handicrafts/GI-tagged products of the state," a representative said.

Additionally, Dr. Sudesh Dhankar and the Vice-President have plans to visit exhibition stalls at Manipur University during the programme. As special guests and functional president, Governor Anusuiya Uikey of Manipur and State Chief Minister N. Biren Singh will also attend the engagement programme.

In the meantime, Manipur Police has enhanced security in the state ahead of the Vice President's visit.
