Even though the Covid situation in China is dire, a video of a couple at a vegetable market in China has gone viral on social media.
The pair is shown in the video buying groceries while completely covered from head to toe by a protective plastic covering that envelops them, almost like a giant raincoat. The man is carrying the cloth like an umbrella by its handle.
They are completely covered throughout, except when the woman collects the parcel from the shop. She quickly pulls down the sheet to prevent any transmission. She uses the same method to make the payment. When they finish purchasing, they simply walk away, and no one appears to be surprised. The footage was first shared by People's Daily China.
