Following the catch, Kohli broke into a Bihu dance - a dance form from the state of Assam - to celebrate the occasion. The Bihu dance celebration is something that Assamese cricketer Riyan Parag has done on several occasions in the past.

Digital Desk: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli is known for his spontaneous dance moves on the field, and in recent years, several videos of his impromptu performances have gone viral on social media. On Sunday, during the second ODI between India and Sri Lanka, Kohli was at it again, dancing after taking a catch. In the 27th over, Sadeera Samarawickrama attempted a big shot off Axar Patel, but the ball edged high into the air.

Kohli, stationed at cover, made an easy catch, giving India a crucial breakthrough. He then celebrated with a Bihu dance, a traditional dance from Assam, which Assamese cricketer Riyan Parag has also performed on several occasions.

India's strong bowling performance restricted Sri Lanka to 240 for 9. Avishka Fernando (40 off 62 balls) and Kamindu Mendis (40 off 44 balls) were the top scorers for Sri Lanka, while Washington Sundar delivered an impressive 3/30 for India.

The hosts, opting to bat first, started slowly, scoring just 42 runs in the opening powerplay while losing one wicket. By the 25th over, Sri Lanka had reached 100 runs but had lost three wickets. The slow pitch and tight Indian bowling limited Sri Lanka to 119 for 5 by the 40th over.

In the final 10 overs, Dunith Wellalage (39 off 35 balls) and Mendis tried to accelerate, adding some more runs to the total.
