Digital Desk: Indian cricketer Virat Kohli maintained his second rank in ICC men's ODI batting rankings. His ranking has been backed up with his excellent performance in the lately-concluded South Africa series. Virat Kohli has footed down from the Indian Test captaincy following the missing series against South Africa. Virat scored 116 runs in the three-match ODI rubber against the Proteas throughout the series, including two half-centuries. Moreover, Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma has been titled Kohli's successor in the India ODI team. Despite not showing extraordinary performance in the South Africa series fields, he even held his third place.  Rohit Sharma could not hit bats during the South Africa series as he was recovering from an injury. However, he has been recovered and is all set to show his extraordinary performance on fields. Pakistan captain Babar Azam leads the ODI batting rankings with 873 points. Kohli has 836 rating scores for his kitty, while Rohit Sharma has 801. South Africa's Rassie van der Dussen cracked into the top 10 following a competent outing against India. He moved up 10 spots to be at no 10 with 750 rating scores.  Moreover, teammate Quinton de Kock, who hit a century in the series against India, even moved up four to settle for the fifth position.
