Digital Desk: According to the information posted by Vinay Choletti on a professional social media network, he resigned as the CEO of WhatsApp Pay India just four months after being promoted to the role. Choletti's resignation marks Meta India's fourth high-profile departure in roughly 1.5 months following the resignation of Ajit Mohan, the country leader in November.

Following Mohan, Meta India Public Policy Head Rajiv Aggarwal and WhatsApp India Head Abhijit Bose both left the firm last month.

On Linkedin, Choletti posted an update about leaving WhatsApp.
"Watching the magnitude and the influence of WhatsApp in India has been a humbling experience," Choletti said on Wednesday. "Today was my last day at WhatsApp Pay."
