Digital Desk: Guwahati city is witnessing a disturbing rise in the number of missing youth cases. Among them, the recent one is of Sujit Raut, a Class 10 student of Guru Nanak School, who went missing from the Bharalumukh area in April. Although the family has lodged an FIR to Bharalumukh Police Station, the whereabouts of Sujit remain unknown, and the police have made no significant progress.


In a troubling case, a young man known as Bikash Talukdar from Bajali has been missing since July 3rd. He was last seen at Paltan Bazar Railway Station. His family has filed a missing person’s report at the Chandmari Police Station, but he too remains untraceable.


The multiple missing cases have posed a big worry among the residents of the city in regard to the safety of young people in the city. Families continue to wait in distress as investigations proceed slowly. Further developments are awaited.
