Thiruvananthapuram: With reports of good Samaritans coming forward amidst the rising cases of covid in the country, a beedi worker hailing from Kannur is Kerala won hearts after her donated Rs 2 lakh to the state’s CMRDF (Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund) in order to ensure vaccine for everyone.

The beedi worker forwarded the amount anonymously and now has only Rs 850 left in his bank account!  

Lauding his actions, the state’s finance minister, Thomas Isaac brought the inspiring act into the limelight by posting about his generosity on Twitter.

“We are humbled by the response of the people,” he said.
