Digital Desk: A shocking incident has been reported from Bagulamari village under the jurisdiction of Kalgachia Police Station, where a woman allegedly attempted to murder her husband in his sleep.


The suspect, identified as Mofida Siddiqui, a mother of three reportedly attacked her husband Lalchan, with a machete around 3 am on Monday.


The assault, which targeted his face and left him with severe injuries, is believed to be motivated by an extramarital affair.


Following the attack, Mofida allegedly fled the scene after stealing more than Rs 3 lakh from the household.


According to local reports, this was not the first instance of domestic turmoil.


Mofida had reportedly eloped with her alleged lover on two previous occasions, though Lalchan had brought her back each time following family reconciliations.


On the night of the incident, Lalchan cries for help which alerted other family members, causing Mofida to flee before she could be apprehended.


While the victim has filed an FIR at Kalgachia Police Station, he claims that the police have not yet arrived at the scene to begin their investigation.


The victim has appealed to the administration and law enforcement, seeking immediate intervention and justice.
