Amid the ongoing programme, a pregnant woman unexpectedly went into labour and delivered a baby right at the venue.


With the immediate help from the health department staff and attendees, the delivery was successfully handled on-site.


The event, held in Lakhimpur district’s Jarabari, saw cheques being distributed extensively to beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Policy.


Both the mother and the newborn are reported to be in good health.


The incident brought a wave of emotion to the gathering, with everyone present offering their heartfelt wishes for the well-being of the mother and the child.
