The victim had been identified as Ramia Das. She was immediately rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.

Digital Desk: A woman was electrocuted near the under-construction Chandmari flyover after Guwahati witnessed incessant rainfall on April 22 morning.

The victim had been identified as Ramia Das. She was immediately rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment.

The woman is now recovering and in stable condition, as per report. She is being treated in the emergency department of GMCH.

Heavy rainfall caused severe artificial flooding and traffic jams in different areas of Guwahati. 

Several places including Anil Nagar, Nabin Nagar, RG Baruah Road, GS Road, Zoo Road, Guwahati Club, Lachit Nagar, Chandmari, Panjabari, Jorabat, Survey, among others, were waterlogged due to the incessant rainfall.

Power outages were also reported on several major roads.
