Digital Desk: On Sunday, a 21-year-old lady named Ahshiya Khatun was discovered dead in the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) washroom.
According to accounts, she was in the hospital for her child's treatment.
In the meantime, the woman's mother has accused her husband, Hadi Ali, of being responsible for her daughter's murder.
She claimed that Ali, Ashiya's second husband, had a fight with her within the hospital complex on Saturday night.
She also revealed that the two of them had frequent disputes since Ali doubted her wife's ability to communicate with her husband.
The body has been sent for a post-mortem report, and the police are currently investigating the situation.
