Digital Desk: A 38-year-old woman, identified as Rekha Saikia, is missing after allegedly jumping into the Borolia river in Rangia town late at night.


The incident occurred near an under-construction bridge near the bi-weekly market following a reported domestic dispute.


According to reports, Rekha Saikia, a resident of Shoulmari, had a heated argument with her husband around midnight.


As the situation escalated, she jumped into the river and has not been seen since then.


In a suspicious turn of event, her second husband reportedly fled the scene shortly after the incident.


Rekha's two sons are currently working outside the state. Police have reached the spot, and an SDRF team has launched a search operation.
