Digital Desk: A tragic case of alleged dowry-related death has surfaced in Pipulbari, located under Mankachar. Rubina Begum's family has accused her husband, Saddam Hussain, of killing her due to persistent dowry demands.
The incident reportedly occurred inside the husband’s residence, with the family further alleging that Saddam Hussain attempted to portray the death as natural.
Following the heartbreaking incident, Rubina’s family lodged a complaint at the Kalapani Police Outpost against Saddam Hussain and 10 others in connection with the case.
Meanwhile, the Kalapani police has reached the location and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Rubina Begum, the daughter of Rafiul Haque from Phulerchar village in Hatsingimari, married Saddam Hussain of North Pipulbari village nearly 5 years ago.
According to her family, the harassment began just two months after the marriage, with Rubina allegedly subjected relentless torture by husband over dowry demands.
The family claims that the murder is an outcome of these ongoing dowry-related abuses.
