Alij Laskar, a resident of the area, was electrocuted and died at the scene.
Local residents have raised serious allegations of negligence against the power department.
They allege that despite informing the power department multiple times about the dangerous high-voltage line that has been running over the road for a long time, no necessary action has been taken.
The locals expressed anger, stating that due to this carelessness and negligence, a young life has been lost in the Dudhpatil area.
After the incident, a police team arrived at the scene and retrieved the body.
His body was later sent to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for a postmortem examination.
