Digital Desk: Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp has recently revealed himself as gay. On the Netflix drama, the 18-year-old actor is best known for playing Will Byers, a closeted gay teenager.

In a video posted on his TikTok account on Thursday, January 5, Noah Schnapp wrote, "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know'" — over Schnapp lip-syncing to an audio clip from another TikTok of someone saying, "You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite simply, I'll never be that serious."

Noah said in the caption of his video, "I suppose I'm more similar to Will than I imagined," referring to Will's sexuality on Stranger Things.

Will's sexuality has always been a source of contention on Stranger Things, particularly when Mike told his pal after an argument, "It's not my fault you don't like girls." Later, Schnapp confirmed to Variety that Will Byers is gay and in love with his closest friend Mike (Finn Wolfhard). "It was always there, but you never really knew; is it just him maturing slower than his peers?" Schnapp explained. "Now that he's older, they've made it a very real and obvious thing. Now it's clear that he's gay and that he adores Mike."

Will even declares his love to Mike while sitting in a car in Season 4, volume two, but pretends to be speaking from Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) point of view.
