    Digital Desk: Yash Chopra's wife, Pamela Chopra, died this morning, April 20. She was 74 years old at the time. Pamela Chopra was an accomplished Indian playback singer. She was also an independent film writer and producer. She has been taken to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital for the past 15 days, according to sources. Doctors put her on a ventilator, but her condition worsened. She was cremated today at 11 a.m. in Mumbai. 

    The YRF released a statement confirming Pamela Chopra's death. "With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform you that Pamela Chopra, 74, died this morning," it said. Her cremation took held today at 11 a.m. in Mumbai. We appreciate your prayers, and the family would appreciate privacy during this time of deep loss and introspection (sic)."



    Pamela Chopra was most recently seen in the YRF documentary The Romantics, where she discussed her husband Yash Chopra and his career. The Romantics emphasized not only Yash Chopra's achievements in the Hindi cinema industry but also Pamela's. Pamela described the director's many restless nights before the premiere of his debut picture as a producer (Daag, 1973) on the show.
