Before the show's premiere in 2020, neither Amazon Prime nor the creators must have known what kind of winner they were dealing with. So it's no wonder that many people were looking forward to the release of Panchayat 2 on Friday (May 20). So, why did the producers and Amazon Prime officials decide to release Panchayat 2 so soon? The truth is that they didn't have an option as news spread that the Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, and Neena Gupta starrer had already been pirated online on piracy sites like Telegram, Movierulz, and others. So, to fight this, Panchayat season 2 was released soon since word gets out faster when something is leaked online than when it is legally released, and waiting any longer would result in Prime Video losing important viewership and screen-time.
The comedy-drama has eight episodes, each lasting approximately 30 minutes, just like the first season. The shortest episode is 28 minutes long, while just one episode is 45 minutes long. TVF produced the web series, which was written by Chandan Kumar and directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra.
