Digital Desk: During a function in Rohini's Sector-12 early on Thursday, a catering employee was allegedly killed by two DJ team members after a dispute over dinner plates. According to a senior police officer, a fight was reported at 12:58 am on Thursday in Sector-12 of Rohini behind Sawariyan Tent, close to Japanese Park.
When the police arrived, they discovered that a guy who had been injured in the altercation had been carried to the Baba Saheb Ambedkar hospital by his friends, where doctors had already pronounced him dead, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Garg. Sandeep Thakur, a resident of Prem Nagar in Kirari and a member of the catering staff, was named as the victim, according to the report.
According to the police, Thakur was beaten up by two men after he failed to provide food plates for guests who were present at a function with the DJ. He got into a confrontation with two other people and was struck in the head by a plastic crate, according to Garg. At the Prashant Vihar Police Station, a case has been filed under Indian Penal Code sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention).
