    Digital Desk: Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by legendary actor Kamal Haasan in the Bharat Jodo Yatra, which arrived in Delhi from Haryana on Saturday morning. On Saturday, Bharat Jodo Yatra enters its 108th Day.  

    Apart from Haasan, Gandhi is scheduled to be joined in Delhi by family members of liberation fighters and key Congress officials. Haasan, dressed in a black suit, took a break from filming for his upcoming film Indian 2 to join the yatra, which began on September 7 in Kanyakumari.

    On December 16, the Bharat Jodo Yatra celebrated its 100th day. Several celebrities, including Swara Bhasker, Pooja Bhatt, Amol Palekar and wife Sandhya Gokhale, Riya Sen, Sushant Singh, Rashami Desai, and Onir, have joined Rahul Gandhi in several states for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. In New Delhi, Kamal Haasan walked beside Gandhi on the streets. The yatra in the national capital is projected to attract 40,000 to 50,000 yatris.

    Earlier, MKM president and Indian movie superstar Kamal Haasan declared on social media that he will participate in the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Delhi. In a video release, he said Gandhi encouraged him to join the yatra as a citizen rather than a politician. He also encouraged Tamils in the nation's capital to participate in the yatra.


    Meanwhile, photographs from the Bharat Jodo Yatra showing Haasan and Rahul Gandhi have gone viral on social media.

    On the streets, they were flanked by thousands of people. "Artist is a medium through which society is portrayed on screen, there is no separation between the two, superstar Kamal Hassan proves it yet again as he joins the #BharatJodoYatra in Delhi," wrote the official Twitter handle of the Indian Youth Congress, as they shared moments from the Bharat Jodo Yatra with Hassan and Rahul Gandhi.

    Kamal Haasan spoke from the dias on joining the Bharat Jodo Yatra at the Red Fort. He stated, "Many people have asked me why I am here. As an Indian, I'm here. My father was a member of Congress. I had different views and formed my political party, but when it comes to the country, all political party lines must merge. I crossed the line and arrived here."
