'No critical word on Modi or Yogi, bring in Hindu-Muslim’: News Nation reporter resigns
In his letter of resignation, Yadav claimed that News Nation reporters had been informed that the channel was under pressure to "bring a story related to a Muslim. Find the controversy related to Muslims. Instigate Muslims. Get them to make controversial statements."

Digital Desk: Former journalist with News Nation in Lucknow, Anil Yadav said that the TV news channel has standing instructions for reporters not to say a critical word about BJP governments, prime minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath, or any other BJP leader.

"The environment for the last five years has been quite frightening," Yadav says in a video posted to social media not long after he purportedly quit News Nation, the organisation he had joined in 2012, in the video. "I feel ashamed calling myself a journalist. I am a servant," he added.

"Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Mayawati, and Akhilesh Yadav are available if you want to criticise some leader or their policy," he claimed.

He continues, calling editors or Sampadaks "Champadaks," adding that they "also express satisfaction and say what a terrific reporter, he is screwing up the opposition."

Yadav asserts that the government gives News Nation "Rs 17-18 crore a year" in funding. Because of this, News Nation and its local affiliate, News State, "can't say anything against them," referring to the BJP. If you do, we'll receive a letter or risk losing our jobs, he continues.

At the same time, he claims News Nation has a "Hindu-Muslim agenda," adding that if there has been a scam in government or a minister has stated something, they would tell us not to take action and will tell us to "say something else, bring in Hindu-Muslim."

In his letter of resignation, Yadav claimed that News Nation reporters had been informed that the channel was under pressure to "bring a story related to a Muslim. Find the controversy related to Muslims. Instigate Muslims. Get them to make controversial statements."

As per the Bhadas4Media reports, "journalists at the channel are not allowed to speak, write, or express anything that comes to mind. He is unable to write even a single word on social media," Yadav's stated in the letter.
