    IND vs IRE 2nd T20 Match 2022: Outlasting fright, India defeats Ireland by 4 runs to win the series

    Ireland's captain Andy Balbirnie led the way with 60 points, while opener Paul Stirling chipped in with 40.


    Digital Desk: India defeated Ireland by four runs in the second and final T20 International on Tuesday to win the two-match series 2-0.


    India amassed a massive 225 for seven when choosing to bat, with Deepak Hooda leading the way with 104 and Sanju Samson contributing 77. The Indians held Ireland to 221 for five points to win the match.


    Ireland's captain Andy Balbirnie led the way with 60 points, while opener Paul Stirling chipped in with 40. Harry Tector and George Dockrell each contributed 39 and 34 not out. 


    Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, and Umran Malik each took a wicket for India. India won the first match by seven wickets.


    Umran Malik, an Indian pacer, takes his first international wicket against Ireland.




    Hooda hit his maiden T20I century off 55 balls, joining the group with Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Suresh Raina in the Elite club of only four Indian T20I centurions.


    Hardik Pandya also makes his much-anticipated International captaincy debut in a two-match T20 series against Ireland.
