Aizawl: Amidst the growing cases of COVID infection in Mizoram, a 103 year old man named Lalthatchhunga has successfully defeated the virus.
Lalthatchhunga, hails from a village named Chhingchhip which is situated in the Serchhip district of the state of Mizoram.
Reportedly, Lalthatchhunga had taken both the doses of the vaccines, however, he still tested positive for the infection on October 11.

According to local sources, he fought the virus for around 17 days and was in home quarantine for 10 days. During this time he was taken care of by his family members.
According to a recent report around 422 people have succumbed to the virus in Mizoram. There are also 7,766 active cases at the moment.
The inspirational story of Lalthatchhunga’s successful battle against the virus has become a topic of discussion all over the state.
