Digital Desk: Following the arrest of the Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik in a money laundering case, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government slammed the Modi government for misusing the investigating agencies to target those who speak the truth.
Further, leading the attack, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that those who speak the truth are being harassed. “This isn’t anything new. We expected action against Nawab Malik because he was publicly voicing his views. We anticipated that they would take action against him. Those who publicly oppose against the BJP government and the investigative agencies and those who speak the truth are hounded.” he stated.
“I was also targeted in this way when I was Chief Minister. This is an attempt to discredit those who raise their voice. This is a misuse of power.” the NCP chief said.
Moreover, Chief spokesperson Sanjay Raut said, “A 20-year-old case has been brought up to target Nawab Malik. So allow them to do what they choose. All of this will continue until 2024, and then it will be over.”
On the other hand, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee Chairman Nana Patole said, “Our democracy is under jeopardy under the current BJP dictatorship. When they are discovered, they turn to abuse the investigative agencies. Nawab Malik was at the vanguard of exposing them; hence he’s been targeted.”
