Digital Desk: The Office of the District Magistrate, Kamrup (Metropolitan), has issued a fresh order to uphold the sanctity and peaceful environment of the cremation ground of legendary singer Zubeen Garg at Hatimura, Kamarkuchi. As per the directive, the cremation site will be open every day from 6:00 a.m to 10:00 p.m.  for visitors to pay their respect to the late icon. Entry beyond these hours will not be permitted under any circumstances.


The order further prohibits individuals under the influence of alcohol or any intoxicating substances from entering or remaining within the premises. Moreover, the consumption, serving, or distribution of liquor or intoxicants in and around the cremation ground has been completely banned.


The administration emphasized that these measures are intended to ensure dignity, respect, and order at the site, which has become a place of emotional significance for countless admirers. The order takes immediate effect.
