Two ambulances raced to the scene and took the deceased to the hospital as soon as they heard about the disaster.
Two of the car's occupants died from their wounds while being taken to the hospital, leaving the other eight dead on the scene.
When the incident happened, there was severe traffic congestion on the expressway.
It is to be noted that police have initiated an investigation to ascertain the reason for the accident.
