The police official said that the DJ system's generator wiring in the vehicle may have caused the accident.

"Around midnight, a pick-up van carrying Kanwariyas on its way to Jalpesh was electrocuted at the Dharla Bridge under the Mekhliganj Police Station. According to the early investigation, it appears that the incident occurred as a result of the wiring of the DJ system's generator, which was fitted in the back of the vehicle, "Amit Varma, additional superintendent of police for Mathabhanga, stated.

He stated that all of the passengers were from the Sitalkuchi Police Station region and that the unfortunate incident had been reported to their relatives.

"Although the car has been confiscated, the driver has gotten away. There are senior officers on the scene. Police are coordinating relief efforts and providing any necessary help," added Varma.
