The temple car (chariot) collided with an overhead livewire, killing eleven people.


Digital Desk: At least 11 people were electrocuted during a temple festival in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur district. The temple car (chariot), according to a news agency report, collided with an overhead livewire during a procession.


The procession began around midnight, and the incident occurred at 3 a.m. when the dome and decorations erected on the chariot came into contact with a high defensive line.


According to recent reports, over ten people were killed, including two children in the team that towed the temple car. Seven of them were killed on the spot. More than five people were injured and are being treated in the hospital.


As per reports, there are no further inputs regarding the case.
