The operation, initiated at 10 am on Wednesday from Gadchiroli, deployed 7 C60 teams led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Operations towards the Chattisgarh Border in Wandoli Village.

Digital Desk: Officials reported that a police encounter in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra resulted in the deaths of 12 Naxals. The intense gunfire began in the afternoon and persisted sporadically for over six hours until late evening. Following a search operation, authorities have recovered seven firearms, including 3 AK47s, 2 INSAS rifles, 1 carbine, and 1 SLR.

The operation, initiated at 10 am on Wednesday from Gadchiroli, deployed 7 C60 teams led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Operations towards the Chattisgarh Border in Wandoli Village. This action followed credible intelligence indicating the presence of 12-15 Naxals encamped near the village. During the encounter, one Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and one jawan sustained gunshot wounds but are now stable after being safely evacuated and transferred to Nagpur.
