Digital Desk: CISF personnel apprehended three laborers for attempting to gain unauthorized access to the highly secure Parliament complex using counterfeit Aadhaar cards. The Delhi Police subsequently arrested the individuals, named Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb, levying charges against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) pertaining to forgery and fraud. PTI sources revealed that the trio was intercepted and detained by CISF personnel at the flap gate entry of Parliament House on Tuesday during standard security and identification procedures. Upon closer examination, the CISF determined their Aadhaar cards to be falsified, reports said on Thursday.

The incident took place shortly after the CISF assumed full responsibility for securing the Parliament complex, taking over from CRPF and Delhi Police units.

Legal Proceedings

Following the apprehension, the CISF handed over the individuals to the Delhi Police, who subsequently filed a First Information Report (FIR) against them, charging them under IPC sections 465 (forgery), 419 (cheating by impersonation), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 471 (using a forged document as genuine), and 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating).
